Ethereal Beauty

Winter is beautiful.

OK, maybe I don’t feel the love so much when it is -45 Celsius and I look like the michelin man because of all my winter layers. But let’s focus on the good.

On a day like this, where the light and the frost and the fog create such a beautiful and ethereal landscape- winter is good.

Beginnings

Hello everyone and welcome to my new little corner of the internet! For many years I have followed the blogs of many people, learned so much from what they have shared, and enjoyed the online community – but mainly from the outside. I have finally decided that it is time for me to get involved in the online world, and share with you what I have to offer in return.

So, why the artyologist? Well, it seems to be the best way to describe what I want this blog to be: the creative outlet of a vintage loving, artist/photographer, who loves to make & wear 1930’s-1950’s fashions everyday and create a bit of beauty wherever she goes. The play on words with “archeologist”  pretty much sums up my love for all things vintage, and the “arty” sums up my love for creativity.

I’m looking forward to sharing this with you all.

So here is to new beginnings!
